My hardwood finally gets a break
Two years of working from home put visible caster tracks in front of my desk, so I was mostly buying this to stop the damage from spreading. It lies completely flat, the suction backing actually holds, and the chair rolls fine over the felt surface. The scratching sound my wheels used to make on bare wood is basically gone, which my downstairs neighbor probably appreciates more than I do. Grey looks neutral enough that it disappears under the desk.

Cut it to fit an awkward alcove
My desk sits in a chimney alcove, so standard rectangular mats never fit properly. Works, but thinner than I pictured
Honest take: I expected a plusher, rug-like felt from the photos and this is a thinner, denser layer. It absolutely does what it claims — stays put, protects the floorboards, quietens the wheels — but if you are imagining carpet-level cushioning underfoot, adjust your expectations. At 90 by 120 it also only just covers my rolling range with an L-shaped desk; I would have bought a second one to trim and join if I had known. Keeping it, just not wowed.

Does the job, needs a vacuum now and then
Solid mat, grips the tiles well and my chair stopped sliding around the way it did before. Two small remarks: the grey shows dust and wheel marks faster than I expected, so it gets a quick vacuum every week, and the casters roll with a bit more resistance on the felt than on bare floor. Neither bothers me much. The floor underneath stays perfect, which is what I paid for.

Give it a day or two to settle
It arrived rolled up and the corners wanted to curl for the first day, so I put some books on them overnight and after that it has stayed perfectly flat. Once settled, the suction backing grips the wooden floor really well. Nice muted grey that fits our home office. I would have liked it in a darker shade too, but that is a preference, not a complaint about the mat itself.
