Work and rest

One chair for the whole workday

Most office chairs make you choose between working and resting. The ErgoRecline does both: supportive and upright when you're focused, then a deep recline with an extending footrest when you need a proper mid-day reset.

Recline

Lean all the way back, properly

The deep recline and fabric-covered retractable footrest stretch out to roughly 170 cm, so a break between calls is an actual rest, not a slouch. When it's time to work, the backrest returns you upright and supported.

Breathability

Woven fabric that stays cool

The linen-look woven upholstery breathes through long sitting sessions, so you avoid the hot, sticky feel of vinyl without the hard edge of a mesh-only shell.

Honest Fit Check

This chair isn't right for everyone

We'd rather you buy the right thing than the most expensive thing. A few cases where this might not be your best match:

If you're much over 6′4″

The backrest is tuned for most heights, but past roughly 6′4″ it may not reach all the way up your upper back. A taller-specific chair will fit you better.

If you need armrests beyond the published range

The armrests adjust within a set range. If you require a wider 4D travel than what's listed in the specs, this chair may not reach it.

It needs about 10 minutes to assemble

It ships flat with the tools included. Expect a short, straightforward build before your first sit — not ready out of the box.

Still not sure? With 60-day money-back guarantee. if it's not the right fit, return it within 60 days for a full refund., there's no risk in trying it at your own desk — if it doesn't fit your setup, send it back.

Bigger footprint than my old chair, worth it

I live in a small Paris apartment where every piece of furniture has to justify its footprint, and I nearly skipped this chair for something more compact. Glad I didn't. Even fully reclined it doesn't hit my bookshelf behind it, which I measured twice before ordering. The quilted fabric has held up nicely against my desk chair's daily abuse for around three months now, no flattening yet. Recline plus the pull-out footrest genuinely replaces an afternoon nap on my tiny couch, which used to eat into my work hours far more than twenty minutes ever will.

The nap recline is not a gimmick

I work from home and used to migrate to the couch around 2pm, which usually turned into an hour of lost time. Now I just lean this thing back, pull out the footrest, and take twenty minutes with my eyes closed. The recline goes way further back than my old chair ever did. Fabric is soft but the quilting keeps it from feeling saggy. Assembly took me maybe forty minutes, mostly because I attached the armrests backwards first. Zero regrets so far.

Short legs, no problem after all

I'm barely five foot two and worried the footrest would leave my feet dangling when extended, which happens with most recliner-style office chairs I've tried. It doesn't. The seat depth adjusts enough that my knees clear the edge properly, and when the footrest comes out my heels actually reach it instead of hovering. I write from home most days and use the recline for maybe fifteen minutes after lunch, which has genuinely helped my afternoon focus. Fabric shows a little more of my cat's fur than I'd like, but that's not the chair's fault.

Ten-hour edit days, no complaints

I edit video for a living and some deadline days keep me at the desk for ten hours with barely a proper break. Reclining for even five minutes between export renders has become part of my routine now, and the chair holds the angle steady without me fighting the lever every time. The fabric has stayed cool even through a hot studio summer here in Milan, unlike the pleather chair I replaced. Wheels roll smoothly on my hardwood floor too. Assembly took about an hour alone, which felt long, but the chair itself has been excellent since.

Perfect for my little home office

I hesitated for weeks and finally ordered the grey one. It fits nicely in a small study room and does not look like a sad corporate chair, which mattered to me. The headrest pillow is genuinely plush — I read on my lunch break with the chair tilted back and the footrest out, like a small armchair. Casters roll quietly on my wooden floor. My cat has claimed the seat when I am not in it, so consider that a second endorsement.

Finally a chair that fits 6'5"

At 6'5" I've spent years folding myself into chairs built for average height, headrests hitting the middle of my skull instead of behind it. This one's backrest is tall enough that the headrest actually lands where my neck needs support. The recline mechanism goes back further than I thought possible without tipping, and the footrest extends far enough that my knees aren't still bent at ninety degrees. The instructions assumed smaller hands than mine somehow, and I had bolts left over, slightly worrying, but the chair has been solid for two months regardless.

My afternoon reset chair

I have a habit of a short rest after lunch and this chair was bought exactly for that. Recline back, footrest out, fifteen minutes, and I return to work actually refreshed instead of groggy from a bed nap. The lumbar pillow took a day of moving around before I found the right spot, but now I don't notice my lower back at all during long spreadsheet sessions, which is the whole point. Looks tidy in the room too, the grey is neutral and calm.

Very comfortable for a full working day

I was skeptical because most chairs in this price category are either hard mesh or hot vinyl. This one has a woven fabric which stays pleasant even after six or seven hours at the desk. The lumbar pillow is detachable, so I could position it exactly where my lower back needs it, which for me is a little lower than the standard fixed supports. The recline function I use less often than expected, but when I do, it is wonderful. Delivery to Germany was quick.

One chair, two very different bodies

My wife and I share a home office and take turns on this chair between her freelance design work and my accounting deadlines, and we're built quite differently, she's petite and I'm fairly broad. Both of us have adjusted it to suit without any drama, the armrests move enough and the recline tension seems to handle both our weights fine. Four months in and no squeaks yet, which surprised me given how often it changes hands. Only annoyance is remembering to reset the recline angle before she sits down, otherwise she nearly tips backward.

Great chair, footrest is the weak point

Really pleased overall. The seat padding is generous and my back feels noticeably less achy after long days than it did with my previous chair. My one gripe is the footrest — it works fine, but I'm just over six foot and at full recline my calves rest on it rather than my feet, so I end up scooting down a bit. If you're average height it's probably perfect. The grey fabric looks smarter in person than in the photos, more like linen than office upholstery.
